Lashes…At Last!

A few months ago I decided to take the plunge into Eyelash Extensions! Boy oh boy are they addicting! Once you start, it will be very difficult for you to stop. Eyelash Extensions are quickly becoming the new Mani Pedi! Giving the eye a more “open” and fuller look, eyelash extensions are the latest rave in the world of beauty and fashion.

Lasting anywhere from 2-3 weeks (if they are done right), you will be well on your way to creating the look you find in all the latest fashion magazines and runways in just about an 1 hour or so. Prices range anywhere from $50 to upwards of $200 and are individually placed to create a more natural look and feel!

You want to do your homework when selecting the best look! I suggest surfing the internet and getting a few ideas on what look will work best for you as lashes come in a variety of lengths and styles.

The best bargain for eyelash extensions by far can be found at Enso Nails in Pflugerville TX right next to Tinseltown Theatre.  For only $49 you will get lashes that are individually placed and last for about 3 weeks!  I’ve found the lashes to feel very natural, in fact I often forget that I have extensions at all.  Unlike the traditional self adhesive eyelashes that require you to apply the entire “track” and sometimes requiring you to take off and reapply daily, individually placed extensions give you time back in your daily routine with the elimination of daily application.

No matter what look you go for; I know you will look absolutely fabulous!

This Spring, there are tons of handbags to choose from. From Totes, to the Cross-body and the Document Clutch; designers have really outdone themselves this year with bold colors and textures that are sure to catch the eye of onlookers!

Now for the moment you have been waiting for (me too)! Here are some of my favorites:

If I had to pick a favorite from those pictured above, I would have to go with the Burberry bag.  I just cannot take my eyes away from those bright yet bold colors!  Just enough room for the items I must carry while remaining fashionable nonetheless!  Easily transition from Girls Day Out to Date Night without skipping a beat!

What’s your favorite handbag this season?

Navy-The New Black in 2013

The color Navy Blue is becoming very popular in 2013. It happens to be one of Pantone’s Spring 2013 colors; they call it Monaco Blue! In doing research for today’s post, I wanted to know more about the color Navy Blue…what does it mean? When I wear the color, what does it say about me; what am I projecting to others when I wear the color Navy? Here are a few descriptive words:

Trust
Balance
Faith
Value
Depth
Freedom
Calmness
Power*
Tradition
Reliability

I love colors that project Power, there’s just something to be said about a woman (or man) in charge….love it!
Whether you wear Navy Blue to work in the form of a business suit, as your choice of Nail Color or taking on the Nautical Motif during a day of shopping, you won’t go wrong with Navy this Spring!

2013 Academy Awards!

Last night ABC aired the Oscars and boy oh boy was it a night full of glitz and glamour! I always look forward to the red carpet arrivals so I can get a peek at what and who my favorite celebrities are wearing. I remember when I was a young girl sitting on the sofa watching the awards show-secretly wishing I was one of those girls! From Halle Berry to Charlize Theron; the divas were absolutely gorgeous! So without further adieu, let’s take a look at some of the nights Best Dressed!

The Designers

Charlize Theron stole the night with Couture Dior gown, not to mention the haircut that completed her overall look!  She was my Best Dressed choice of the evening.

Halle Berry looked radiant in Versace, but doesn’t she always look amazing?

Anne Hathaway was classic in Prada.

Jennifer Lawrence, the Best Actress winner also wore Dior and looked like a princess.

What a night for all things fashion!

Mixing Prints

mixedprints4For as long as I can remember, it has always been a huge fashion No No to mix prints when it comes to fashion. Everything had to match in order for one not to come across as a fashion nightmare.
Those days are long gone. Here you have a simple example of how you can indeed mix prints and be trendy at the same time. The key to success here is to find one thing in common, most likely it will be the colors, and make those work. In doing so you will be sure to pull off a great look!

Spring 2013 Colors!

P1colorsPantone has released it’s color choices for Spring, and I am so delighted to share them with you! This season’s choices mixes a balance of bold-bright colors along with a more neutral color palette.

My favorites are Monaco Blue, Emerald and Nectarine. Each of this season’s colors in my opinion represent power and confidence.

Try adding these colors into your current wardrobe-pairing them with some of your staple pieces; I’m sure you will come to love the color choices just as much as I do.
Enjoy,
WJC

Reflection-2012

2013 is fast approaching! As you begin to the contemplate your New Year’s Resolutions, consider what the new YOU will bring! What is the one goal you have set for yourself that finds its way onto your list year after year? One of my personal goals is to get fit. For the past several years it’s been the one goal that somehow gets left behind. This year (as with all preceding years) I plan to make that my resolution, but this year I will solicit an accountability partner that will hopefully keep me on track!

As I reflect on 2012 and all that changes that have occurred in my own life, I am eagerly looking forward to the new year and all it has to offer!

Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.
