I am often asked as I am out and about, “What the heck is color blocking”, so I thought it would be a great idea to explain exactly what that is. So here it goes…
Color blocking is simply a technique used by fashion designers of all backgrounds where “blocks” of fabric are put together in order to create a garment with several different colors. Some of my favorite colors that I like to put together are Fuchsia and Kelly Green or Mustard Yellow and Deep Grey!
So there you have it, it’s quite simple! The bolder the color, the better the look! Have fun with it, you may be a little gun shy at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll love it as much as I do!
